Yes, you can tell others to follow these simple steps and they won’t have to add a comment also because WP will give you a pingback –

I am not sure why it doesn’t but I have done a couple and have been told the original person didn’t get notified

Actually I never tried the ping-back stuff so ….and I mostly prefer like going to the blog and just informing.

I tend to do both, as least with informing them they will see it, unless wordpress doesn’t like you and you are put into the spam folder 🙂
